Works Premiered in 2007-2008
James Jordan premiered two major compositions in the 2007-2008 concert season with the Westminster Williamson Voices. In December, he premiered a new setting of O Magnum Mysterium by Finnish composer Jaakko Mantyjaarvi. In April, he premiered an expansive new work by British composer James Whitbourn: Luminosity. Composed for three choirs, viola solo, organ, tampura and dancers, the work was premiered by the Westminster Williamson Voices, The Blair Academy Choir, William Hammer, Conductor, The Women of The Westminster Schola Cantorum, and the ArcheDream Blacklight Dance Theater at The Philadelphia Cathedral with Daniel Stewart, Viola solo. The Westminster Schola Cantorum premiered a setting of the William Blake of Little Lamb.

James Jordan and Westminster faculty member Nova Thomas are collaborating on a new book, Toward Center: A Guide for Performing Artists. Anticipated release will be in spring of 2009.
New DIALOGUES Series
James Jordan has started a series of CD's/DVD's that are discussions
of music and performance with major figures in choral music. The
first in this series has been released by GIA Publications. The
second in the series will be a discussion of Spirituality with Weston
Noble. All CD's in the DIALOGUES series will be released by GIA Music
